"Outreach 2010 - Financial
Inclusion for the Common Indian
on 12th June 2010 in ITC Sonar, Kolkata |
The Finance, Banking and Insurance Sub-Committee
of the Bengal Chamber is bringing to you, on
Saturday, 12th June 2010 at the ITC Sonar,
Kolkata, our programme, "Outreach 2010 -
Financial Inclusion for the Common Indian".
The seminar is dedicated to discussing the issues,
opportunities and developments in the realm of
financial inclusion in India. We have invited
Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Hon'ble Finance Minister of
India to address us. Mr. Rajat M Nag,
Managing Director General, Asian Development Bank
and Dr. K G Karmakar, Managing Director, NABARD
have also kindly consented to address the
programme.
This is a unique endeavour of the Bengal Chamber
towards furthering the initiative of the
Government of India towards financial inclusion.
Outreach 2010 attempts to bring all
stakeholders and institutions namely Banks and
Financial Institutions, MFIs, insurance companies,
NBFCs, Technology providers, Business
Correspondents and NGOs together with the
Government, Academia and Industry to discuss and
appreciate the power of this collaborative model
to deliver comprehensive financial services. The
USP of the programme is that it focuses on the
unique opportunities that can be available at the
bottom of the pyramid which would get unlocked
through ‘access to financial and risk mitigation
services’. In other words, the conclave will
create the forum to discuss, in addition to the
development agenda, the business prospects and
opportunities in an effective financial inclusion
strategy in India. The programme would provide
all participants with an opportunity to network,
learn, showcase and share experiences in business
development in the realm of banking, insurance and
financial services for the common Indian citizen
and rural India.
There are only a limited number of seats for
this programme (for which no delegate fee is
affixed for participants) and hence the Chamber is
registering delegates on a first come - first
served basis.
