The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Agriculture Training Centre, Fulia along with Agricultural Processed Food Export Development Authority (APEDA) organized a Capacity Building Programme on “Folk Rice – Collection, Conservation, Multiplication and Popularizing among farming community of West Bengal” on 15th September, 2016 at ATC, Fulia. The programme witnessed the participation of 30 folk rice farmers of 4 districts – Hoogly (Balagarh block), Murshidabad (Jalangi Block), North 24 Parganas (Hingalgunj Block) and South 24 Paraganas (Patharpratima block).

The programme was graced by Mr. Satyabrata Mukherjee, Chairperson-Agriculture Committee, The Bengal Chamber, Mr. R. K. Mondal, Deputy General Manager - Agricultural Processed Food Export Development Authority (APEDA) and Mr. Nayan Kumar Das, Deputy Director of Agriculture (Trg) - Agricultural Training Centre, Fulia.
