The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry partnering with the Commissionerate of Central Excise, Kolkata I, organized a half-day Workshop on GST Outreach Programme on 8th March 2017 at KUSB Auditorium in Kendriya Utpad Shulk Bhawan. This was a part of the massive outreach programme on GST launched by the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) for educating taxpayers for smooth transition to GST, which was scheduled to be launched in the next few months. Mr. P K Saha, Co-Chairperson, Indirect Taxes Committee, BCC&I & Partner - Tax & Regulatory Services, Price Waterhouse & Co. LLP, on behalf of BCC&I, deliberated on Practical Aspects in Implementation of GST. Other Speakers from CBEC made presentations on migration to GSTN and discussed various procedures and issues involved. The Workshop was attended by close to 120 delegates.
