The The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kolkata, in collaboration with Mati-Ta Wellness and Hospitality, Chittagong organized 2nd International Health and Wellness Expo in Chittagong on 5th and 6th October 2023 at Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View. Healthcare and Wellness Stakeholders from India, Bangladesh and Thailand participated in the Expo with exhibition stalls and talk shows by doctors and healthcare experts.

In the Inaugural Ceremony, Welcome Address was given by Mr. Arnab Basu, President Designate, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Advisory Leader, PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Munal Mahbub, Chairman, Mati-ta and Senior Vice President, Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, deliberated the Theme Address.

The Chief Guest of the Inaugural Ceremony was Mr. Mahbubul Alam, President, The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry. On behalf of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Chief Guest was felicitated by Mr. Arnab Basu, President Designate, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Advisory Leader, PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Omar Hazzaz, President, The Chittagong Chamber Of Commerce & Industry and Mrs Abida Mostafa, Senior Vice President, Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry graced the Inaugural Ceremony among other dignitaries.

Special Address at the Inaugural Ceremony was deliberated by Mr. Rana Dasgupta, CEO-Eastern Region, Apollo Hospitals Group.

Other dignitaries from India also included Dr. V R Ramanan, Director-SRIOS, Peerless Hospital, Dr. Saumitra Bharadwaj, Group President, Medica Group of Hospitals and Mr. Sombrata Roy, Unit Head, The Calcutta Medical Research Institute.

On Day 1, Health Talks were on:

The Exhibitors included mostly hospitals and also, medical tourism agency, wellness resort, and other healthcare facilitators.

B2B Meetings took place and some collaborations on medical tourism were initiated.

The 2 Day International Health & Wellness Expo and Heath Talk Shows attracted visitors from Chittagong City and adjacent areas
